The hour of the wolf is the hour just before dawn. It is the hour where most people die, when sleep is deepest and where dreams and nightmares are most real.
In creating their third CD, Aurelia went in search for this state of mind whereby these underlying currents of emotions were used to outline their compositions and arrangements. This resulted in an introspective but very caleidoscopic palette of compositions and acoustic sounds.
Besides their usual lineup (violin, acoustic guitar and percussion), you can also distinguish the sitar, banjo, harmonium, piano and ethnical vocal sounds.

L’heure du loup, c’est l’heure où la nuit se termine…
La musique de ces trois musiciens allumés, c’est du haut vol d’images sonores ! Décalée, déjantée, elle vous plonge dans l’obscurantisme. Toute en ambivalence : côté pile, une fête révolutionnaire cubaine ou un cabaret ethnique sur vocalises délirantes ; côté face, une fresque tribale.
Cette fabrication « made in Belgium » zigzague entre la mélancolie de l’alto, l’humour et la poésie. Un monde particulier, celui des Auréliens, à découvrir aussi sur scène car ce trio dégage une énergie et une complicité rare. C’est brut et beau, c’est un voyage sans fin… Allons-y !

Het uur van de wolf is het uur voor zonsopgang. Het is het uur waarin de meeste mensen sterven, waarin de slaap het diepste is en waarin dromen en nachtmerries het sterkste zijn. Het is ook het uur waarin de meeste kinderen geboren worden. In het creatieproces van hun nieuwe, derde CD ging Aurelia op zoek naar deze state of mind en vanuit deze onderliggende stromingen van emoties werd er gewerkt naar compositie en arrangement toe. Dit leverde een introspectief maar zeer kaleidoscopisch palet aan stijlen en akoestische klanken op.
Naast de gebruikelijke viool, gitaar en percussie line up horen we ondermeer sitar, banjo, trompetviool, harmonium, piano en ethnische vocalen.
